DETECTIVES investigating the murder of student Janet Murgatroyd have again appealed for help in catching her killer.
Police have conducted door-to-door inquiries in Preston, looked at similar crimes nationwide and been on Crimewatch but the murderer is yet to be found.
Detective Sergeant Dermott Horrigan, one of the scaled-down team of detectives, said all leads from the public had been followed up and that no new lines of inquiry had come from this.
DS Horrigan said: "We've squeezed as much out as we can. It's now a case of putting the information we have got into the system."
Janet a law student at the University of Central Lancashire was murdered as she walked home to Penwortham from Preston in the early hours of Sunday June 16 last year.
