BLACKBURN Hawks start a hectic two-week play-off programme tonight with a trip to Whitley Warriors warning they could be the surprise package.
The Hawks play three times in the next four days to determine which side will face the champions of the Southern League in a clash of titans battle at Manchester's Nynex Arena on March 29.
On Saturday they travel to Paisley Pirates before entertaining league champions and favourites Fife Flyers on Sunday.
Jim Pennycook, who has ruled himself out for the remainder of the campaign due to an ankle injury, said: "It is a hectic programme but we are sure we can cope despite not having a full squad. But we have shown in recent weeks we can compete with the best sides in the league and we could surprise a few people."
Both Tom Burridge and Billy Price are on Great Britain Under 19 duty so Pennycook is frantically looking to strengthen his squad with a couple of loan signings.
