LANCASHIRE LYNX kicked off their home league season in swashbuckling style - a thumping 50-18 win against Bramley.
Simon Smith broke through Bramley's defence after just 10 minutesto signal the start of a fantastic match for the Lynx.
Four minutes later a solo run from Neil Parsley took him over for the first of his four tries.
The speedy centre left the Yorkshire defence in a tangle as, despite the efforts of full-back David Pitts, he swept in under the posts, Neil Allday goaling.
Tries by Ray Waring and Parsley lifted Lynx before Bramley replied through Mick Shaw.
A minute into the second half Chris Kelly scored on his home debut to smark an astonishing 10-minute blitz in which Lynx scored four more four tries.
Kelly sent Steve Gee under the sticks; PJ Solomon matched Kelly with a try on his home debut after being sent in by Stewart Francis.
Lynx were dominant, but plucky Bramley finally found something to cheer about when centre Damian Pickles went in just after the hour.
Carl Briscoe then barged over for Lynx, quickly followed by Parsley (his fourth).
However, Bramley were still playing for pride and a Richard Stead try in the dying minutes of the game lessened the pain of the resounding Lynx victory.
LYNX: Allday; Waring, Finney, Parsley, S Smith; Ruane, Kelly; Taylor, L Smith, Norton, Gee, Francis, Solomon. Subs: Walsh, Westwood, Gleave, Briscoe.
