PRODUCTION at Burnley's Prestige factory will end on July 4, the remaining 100 workers have been told.
GMU branch secretary Tom Fallows said the only remaining hope was the effort by Burnley Council to persuade new owners Meyers that there was a future for the company in the town.
Workers are seeking legal advice about claiming Prestige's enhanced redundancy terms. Mr Fallows: "It will make a tremendous amount of difference in what they will pick up at the end of the day.''
