LEIGH mum Barbara Priestman has received a BIG boost in her bid to give Russian orphans the holiday of a lifetime.
Following a Journal story last week, Barbara received £500 towards her fund-raising and calls from two prospective host families.
Now she is concentrating on getting together a fund-raising group with the intention of helping bring children over in June-July.
"The cash is a great start to our efforts to help the children who are still suffering from the Chernobyl disaster 10 years ago," said Barbara .
If you want to host a child, or help with fund-raising, drop Barbara a line at: 2 Cavendish Street, Leigh WN7 1SG.
