THE latest ruling from Europe appears to have stripped many thousands of British contract workers of their job security, as the judges of the European Court of Justice, in Luxembourg, have said that employees' rights are not automatically guaranteed when employer contracts changed hands.
Because of this, the Public Contractors Association has said that it would mean workers were unprotected.
New Labour have made no secret of the fact that they want to join their brothers in Europe, and because of this latest ruling, they do not seem to care much about British workers already there.
Could this be another of the costs they are trying so hard to keep hidden?
G BROADHURST (Mr), Sharples Street, Accrington.
