LEADING Tory Roger Freeman has been in East Lancashire visiting a biscuit factory and meeting with party candidates.
The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster met managers and staff at Farmhouse Biscuits, Nelson, and sampled some of the company's products.
He also talked with John Midgley, the Conservative candidate for Pendle.
"It was an excellent visit," said Mr Midgley. "Roger Freeman came to see for himself a very good local industry with high quality products which are exported around the world.
"He had the opportunity to sample some traditional Lancashire biscuits."
Later Mr Freeman met party activists from Rossendale and Darwen in Edgworth. The area's Tory candidate, Trisha Buzzard, was among the guests.
