VOTERS of the future got the chance to meet a would-be MP when Pendle Conservative candidate John Midgley visited the Little People day nursery, Colne.
Meanwhile his Labour rival Gordon Prentice visited staff and residents of Wheatley Court home for the elderly, Fence, yesterday.
Mr Midgley said: "The nursery provides the 'little people' with an excellent start.
"It is of the highest quality. More children are entering the school because of the Conservative Government's nursery voucher scheme.
"People have the power to choose the nursery school most suitable for their children.
"The voucher is giving local parents more choice."
Mr Midgley also welcomed the order for Rolls-Royce Trent 800 engines which will boost the company's Barnoldswick plants.
