JUBILANT John Major led the Tories to a record-breaking fourth General Election victory.
The Prime Minister confounded pollsters and pundits who predicted a hung parliament with Labour as the largest party, by sweeping to a totally unpredicted win for Conservatives.
Mr Major, as cool in victory as he was throughout the Tory campaign, returned to Downing Street and declared: "It's nice to be back."
