THE new owners of Burnley housewares company Prestige could keep a manufacturing base in Burnley.
Talks have been held between the new owners Meyer International, of the British Virgin Islands, and Burnley Council's economic development unit.
The unit's head, Hugh Simpson said: "We have had a very fruitful meeting with the owners and have put a proposal to them which they are giving serious consideration.
"Burnley is being considered by the company."
It is expected if the company decide to continue manufacturing it will be on a new site and not at the large Colne Road premises.
