CENTRAL defender Chris Lucketti is Bury's only fitness doubt as they prepare for tomorrow's trip to Bristol City.
Lucketti had four stitches in the bridge of his left foot after clashing with Terry Evans in the 2-0 win over Wycombe on Monday. He hasn't trained all week and won't be risked if their is the slightest doubt about him completing ninety minutes.
"There is a long way to go in the promotion race and it would be stupid to take any unecessary risks with players' fitness," confirmed boss Stan Ternent.
"Knowing Chris he'll be desperate to take part and we'll give him as long as necessary before we have to make a decision."
Whatever Lucketti's fate, Ternent has been boosted by the return to full fitness of strikers Rob Matthews and Ronnie Jepson who have had a full week's training and were deliberately kept out of the midweek reserve game at Chesterfield.
They have been added to the 14 that did duty against Wycombe.
Ternent is still awaiting the disciplinary verdict on Gordon Armstrong and Lenny Johnrose who were both sent off at Notts County recently. Both are likely to get a one-match ban which will keep them out of next Tuesday's home game with Walsall.
