STOCKPORT County skipper Mick Flynn raised the stakes for tomorrow's promotion feud at Edgeley Park and told Burnley: "Can you handle the promotion pressure?"
Flynn is a seasoned veteran of Stockport versus Burnley clashes and a member of the County side beaten at Wembley in 1994.
And the centre-half says Burnley face a Stockport team fired up for League revenge after a 5-2 mauling at Turf Moor in October and a club still bitter from the memory of that twin towers defeat three years ago
"Nobody here can forget the Wembley play-off final defeat in 1994 when we were robbed of promotion by Burnley and it still hurts," blasted Flynn.
"We finished 12 points ahead and the wrong team got promoted. We want to put the record straight against Burnley once and for all.
"All the pressure is on them.
"And the onus is on them to deal with the pressure. It has got to be their most important league game of the season.
"I really can't see Burnley coming here and flying forward at every opportunity and it will be a very tactical game. It is a match they cannot afford to lose and we are as desperate to win it as them.
"There is certainly no love lost between the two clubs and it promises to be a real ding-dong battle. "The 5-2 result was an absolute freak and there is no way that will happen again. Paul Barnes had an amazing day to score five goals and that only happens once in a lifetime to a striker.
"I still think he will be Burnley's biggest threat though. He seems to possess an uncanny knack of scoring goals against us. It was the same when he was at York."
Tomorrow will be Stockport's 60th League and cup game of a gruelling season which has seen County reach the semi-finals of the Coca-Cola Cup, the Auto Winsdscreens Shield semi and the FA Cup fourth round.
"I've played in 58 of them and the only game I missed was when I was rested for the Auto Windscreens tie at Turf Moor!" added Flynn.
"We play Burnley on Saturday and Watford on Monday. If we can get results against both of them then we will be nearer to our automatic promotion goal. That is our aim and we believe we can get there."
Flynn added: "Whatever happens I still think Burnley will end up in the play-offs. I just hope we don't end up there with them."
