BRASS instrumentalists and a new conductor are being sought by a Rossendale-based band.
Goodshaw Band meets at Rakefoot Methodist Church, Crawshawbooth, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Organisers said numbers had dropped recently because of work commitments and relocations, and since Christmas they have been relying on help from other groups to prepare for competitions and concerts.
They are especially eager to hear from cornet and baritone players and percussionists.
But they say they will welcome any new members, young or old, who wish to join.
Brass bands are placed in sections, like football leagues, and Goodshaw is now in the second section out of five.
Manager Matt Stringer said: "After all the hard work the band has put in over the last few years to get back up among the better bands it would be a shame to see it start to slide because we can't fill seats."
