THE other day, I passed two street sweepers in Blackburn town centre, smartly dressed in the corporation's uniform, but pushing two trucks that were so disgustingly filthy that they represented mobile health hazards.
Removing other people's mess must be soul-destroying in itself, but to be degraded by having to use dirty equipment must destroy one's self esteem.
So, come on, Blackburn Council, take some pride in your staff and give them clean, hygienic tools.
