YOU can't blame Elmo the iguana for looking glum.
The five-foot reptile is supposed to be the star attraction at Graham Bielby's pub, but instead everyone is watching a live sex show...featuring six chipmunks!
Drinkers at the Florence Hotel, Moss Street, Blackburn, are mesmerised by the amorous antics of the randy rodents.
And scaly-skinned lounge lizard Elmo is just too slow to compete with all the action in the beer garden.
Licensee Graham, pictured with Elmo, transformed his beer garden with a children's playground, an aviary and even a sweet shop in time for the summer trade, and he built a 30-foot run for the chipmunks to keep the kids amused.
But it's left the adults with red faces as they try to explain what the chipmunks are up to. Graham said: "We have to tell the children the animals are playing!
"You should see them at it - I can watch them for hours.
"They go so fast it's unbelievable.
"I think we'll soon be seeing a few baby chipmunks on the way."
He added: "You can bring the family along and spend the whole day here.
"The children absolutely love it. They can play in safety outside while their parents enjoy a meal inside."
Graham is hoping even more customers will come to the pub during the summer months.
"We've probably got one of the best beer gardens in the area - you have to see it to believe it."
Barbecues and live entertainment will also feature at the pub throughout the summer.
