A WORKMAN was seriously injured after falling 40ft through the roof of a building.
Tony Knappet, 23, of Hapton Road, Padiham, was dismantling the East Lancashire Coach Builders building in Whalley New Road, Blackburn, for Clitheroe-company Ashworth Demolition when he fell yesterday lunchtime.
Ambulance crews spent 45 minutes at the scene stabilising him before taking him to Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
He was transferred today to the spianl injuries unit at Southport.
Paramedic Steve Scholey said: "He suffered head and back injuries but was conscious."
