THREE top-level Romanians are coming to Leigh - to see how our gardens grow! (writes Malcolm Ryding)
And they will be going home with top tips and millions of seeds from Bents Garden Centre at Glazebury.
Bill Hampson, who has spearheaded links between Lowton churches and the former Communist country, has helped arrange the visit led by the Mayor of Sinaia, Mr Scaunas.
He will be accompanied by Birau Constantin, general manager of a fuel injector form employing 4,500 people in Sinaia, and Mr Groza, from the economic development unit.
During their three-day visit, the Romanians will be hoping to further forge business and training links with organisations in the Borough.
"The Romanians will be holding a whole series of meeting hoping to gain both expertise and advice, and possible trade links," said Mr Hampson.
Already the group have had meetings with Adrian Hardy, head of the council's economic development, when he visited Sinaia.
No matter what happens on the visit, Sinaia is guaranteed a brighter future.
One of the visit's highlights will be touring Bents Garden Centre. And while they are there they will be given flower seeds to take home.
Explained Bill Hampson: "Flower seeds are very difficult to get hold of. There are greenhouses everywhere in Romania but you never see flowers in the parks. We're hoping that after receiving help from Bents all that will change." Next news story
