FOLLOWING the success of last year's inititial competition, local charity The Disability Network is on the lookout for the St Helens Young Citizen of 1997.

The Bickerstaffe Street-based charity is asking people to nominate 'superkids' who have made an outstanding contribution to their local community or have been extremely brave when facing adversity.

The lucky winner, selected by Paul Brennan, director of Disability Network and a panel of judges, will receive a trophy and a host of super prizes including two £5 meal vouchers from McDonalds, St Helens; a complimentary pass to Knowsley Safari Park; a chauffeur-driven car for a day from Caremore Travel; two Pepsi Big-One tickets from Blackpool Pleasure Beach; a complimentary ticket for Blackpool Zoo; a £20 gift voucher from Asda, St Helens; four complimentary places on the Liverpool Football Club tour; a family ticket to the Manchester United museum and tour centre; best seats and a tour of Saints; and two tickets for the pantomime at the Tameside Hippodrome from Apollo Leisure Group.

ANYONE wishing to nominate a young person, under 18 years of age and living in the St Helens area, should send their details to Disability Network, 64/66 Bickerstaffe Street, St Helens, WA10 1DH, to arrive no later than April 30.
