A BURY pensioner's garden and car have become the targets for young vandals.
Mrs Marianne Podins, of South Bank Road, is appealing for police to show a greater presence in the area to prevent further trouble.
Vandals tore up daffodils and rose trees in her front garden, damaged an ornamental chimney pot flower holder and trees containing birds' nests. The uproofted flowers were then strewn on the path.
Mrs Podins (73), said: "As far as my car is concerned, they pushed nails through the tyres.
"There is a gang of children who are doing this and they are aged around ten or eleven. I've actually seen them crawling on the road as they approach homes and cars.
"Quite a number of my neighbours have had their cars vandalised, too, and it's about time police reviewed the situation down here."
