PENSIONER Elsie Coates enjoyed the trip of a lifetime at the weekend after winning a competition organised by an independent radio station.
For Elsie, from Windle Street, St Helens, flew from Liverpool's Speke Airport to London on Saturday, April 5, aboard Concorde.
The novice flyer won the supersonic trip - complete with Champagne - courtesy of Radio City, before returning home by executive coach.
Elsie's son Andy told the Star: "Mum was absolutely over the moon when she found out she'd won. She's always wanted to fly on Concorde so this was a dream come true."
