A TEENAGE mum and her baby had to be rescued from their home in Prescot town centre after a fire in a nearby building.
Michelle Formby (18) and her five-month-old son Marc were escorted from their flat in Chapel Street by fire crews, shaken but unharmed, after the blaze broke out at about 3.30am on Tuesday, April 8.
Four adjoining shops were caught up in the fire which police believe may have been started deliberately.
Anyone who was in the area prior to the outbreak of the fire is asked to contact Prescot police station on 0151 777 6251 or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
