Prescot Panthers 14 Leigh Centurions 27 PANTHERS' French recruit Davide Collado was the star of the show as Panthers submitted to a late defeat at the hands of the men from Hilton Park. He led the way as Prescot edged into a 12-8 half-time lead thanks to tries from second-rower Damon Scholes and winger Gary Thornburn and two goals by Steve Martin. The second half was a hard-fought affair, but all Panthers had to show for their efforts was a Martin penalty. However, Leigh sealed the game with three tries in the last 10 minutes. Meanwhile, Panthers A team went down 21-20 at Blackpool Gladiators. Harvey (2), Ledger and Williams scored tries for Prescot and Martin added two goals. And the Hope Street Academy squad defeated Gateshead 30-20.
This Sunday Prescot travel to Hunslet Hawks.
