A LARGE quantity of a potentially lethal medicine has been stolen from an industrial unit in Haydock.
A number of delivery vehicles parked in the compound in Kilbuck Lane were broken into some time between between Saturday, March 29 and Tuesday, April 1, and 200 100-ml bottles of Diazepam Forte syrup were stolen.
An excess dosage of the syrup could render an adult unconscious or prove fatal to a child.
Police are advising people not to take any medicine they may have been offered and anybody with information is urged to contact DS Tommy Baines at St Helens CID on 0151 777 6064 or the confidential Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
