IF YOU have you ever watched Antiques Roadshow and wondered just how much your heirlooms are worth you could be about to find out.
Whether it's an ornament, piece of furniture, jewellery or the old teapot left to you by grandma, you will be able to have it valued at an event organised by Burnley Soroptimists, the professional women's group.
Antiques, By-gones and Curiosities Valuation Day is on May 11 when Nelson-born expert Eric Knowles will lead a team including Jo Marshall, the noted authority on glass and ceramics from Phillips of London.
Eric will also be familiar to viewers of Going for a Song and Going Going Gone.
Proceeds of the valuation day, at Todmorden Town Hall, will go to the Burnley and Pendle Hospice fund, and both the experts are waiving their fees to help the cause.
The hall will be open between 10am and 4pm.
The entrance fee of £2 will entitle you to a valuation on one item. The charge for additional items is £1 each. Soroptimists say they regret that it will not be possible to provide porterage. Light refreshments will be available.
Tickets are available from any Burnley Soroptimist, any Burnley and Pendle Hospice shop or by telephone from 431496 or 601450.
