SITE director Phill Blundell is in demand - to tell others about how to do it the 'Samlesbury way'.
The BAe site is regarded as a world class manufacturer throughout the industry and Phill has been invited to two high profile seminars this month to talk about how it was achieved.
"Samlesbury's philosophy of concentrating on a broad based strategy focuses on five manufacturing centres and has resulted in an extremely flexible approach which is ideally suited to 'agile' manufacture," said Phill.
"In essence, the trick is to make these manufacturing operations work smoothly together through top notch business processes. This is achieved at Samlesbury through better communications, cutting out duplication, simplifying, learning from each other and getting people to concentrate on the things that really matter."
