A SHOPPING trip turned to terror when a 10-year-old Blackburn girl suffered a neck injury in a freak accident.
Donna Szejner was struck by a falling plank and a 6in nail became embedded in the back of her neck, while shopping near buildings undergoing repair in Accrington town centre.
Frantic workmen tried to free Donna, but she was taken to hospital still attached to the plank.
