A NEW-born baby girl was abandoned in a carrier bag outside a health centre.
She was discovered by a cleaner opening the centre in Railway View, Clitheroe. The cleaner first thought the carrier bag hanging from the centre's door was full of empty medicine bottles being returned. The baby, named Josephine by nurses, was later reunited with her mother following police appeals for her to come forward.
