GOOD to see several members of the first team squad turning out to support the youngsters at Ewood on Thursday night.
Colin Hendry, Kevin Gallacher, Billy McKinlay, Nicky Marker and Shay Given were among the senior stars watching the FA Youth Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace.
Rovers have a chance to make up for missing out on the big one. Next Wednesday, they entertain Everton at Ewood (kick-off 7pm) in the semi-final of the LFA Youth Cup for professional clubs.
There are just four more Pontin's League Premier Division fixtures remaining, with the final two against Manchester United having now been re-arranged.
The next reserve game for Rovers is against Everton at Goodison Park next Saturday (2pm), followed by the visit of Nottingham Forest to Ewood on Monday, April 28 (7pm).
They will meet title favourites United at Old Trafford on Thursday, May 1 (7pm) and Ewood on Monday, May 5 (2pm).
Rovers Veterans have a big game tomorrow when they take on Sheffield Wednesday at Clitheroe's Shawbridge ground (1pm) in the Umbro Cup (over-35s).
If they win, they will only be one tie away away from the final which will be played at Wembley prior to the FA Trophy final on May 18.
Seats are currently on open sale for two of the last three home Premiership matches, against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night and Middlesbrough on Thursday, May 8. Both games kick off at 7-45pm.
Tickets for the final match of the season, against Leicester at Ewood on Sunday, May 11 (4pm), will go on open sale from Monday.

There has been a big demand already for seats at the final away game of the season against Southampton at The Dell on Saturday, May 3 (3pm).
Tickets only went on sale this week, price £17 no concessions, and look likely to sell out very quickly.
Niklas Gudmundsson scored his first Ipswich goal last Saturday, a late strike in their 4-0 win at Shrewsbury. The Swede is on loan to the First Division club.
