CHURCH magazine Rave, produced by a youth group at the Church of the Redeemer, Blackburn, is in the running for a national award. It won the Lancashire heat of the 1997 Ecclesiastical Insurance Parish Magazine Contest for its "excellent and imaginative" articles and now enters the national finals next month.
A presentation of a certificate and £60 was presented to the youth group by the Bishop of Blackburn, the Rt Rev Alan Chesters. Second prize went to St Philip's, Nelson, and third to St Anne's, Heyhouses-on-Sea.
