SKILLED workers, business and tradesmen are invited to share their talents by becoming involved in the LETS scheme.
The Blackburn, Darwen and Hyndburn branch of the Local Exchange Trading System was set up last year and allows people to pay for services by trading their skills without money changing hands.
The branch is holding a social meeting to welcome new members and explain more about the scheme at Hippings Vale Community Centre, Harvey Street, Oswaldtwistle, between 2pm and 5pm on Sunday.
People already involved will give advice, and admission is free.
Jill Constable, one of the organisers, said: "We are always keen to encourage new people to join and let others know what is available.
"There are already many professional members, people in business and from all sorts of trades working in the system."
