ARTS and media will be in the spotlight next week as Accrington and Rossendale College hosts its annual festival.
A series of workshops, debates and recitals will be held at college centres and other locations in Accrington and Rossendale.
On Monday, there is a workshop on South American percussion, a percussion concert, a theatrical make-up workshop, and a screening of the classic cult movie Quadrophenia followed by workshops using extracts from the film.
Tuesday will give an opportunity to "surf" the Internet, explore 1990s youth culture, take part in a workshop and hear a concert by the Northern Saxophone Quartet and a piano recital. A debate on fashion promotion starts Wednesday's events with more Internet opportunities.
Scrannidge deputy head dance theatre will present a display of theatre and dance and the Nancy Hunter trio will perform jazz compositions.
Thursday will see presentations by media students, another Scrannidge show, a drama workshop and concerts by guitarist Neil Smith, jazz musician Mart Roget and string quartet Charisma.
On Friday there will be music and composition workshops, more Internet work and a showcase by performing arts students.
The college combines with Rossfest on Saturday to present reggae group Dred and Fred and The Ironworks Crew and on Sunday there will be Asian poetry.
