NEXT week is Save the Children week and I urge everyone in Blackburn to join our fight against child hunger by making a donation.
Five hundred million children go to bed hungry each night. The really sad thing is that this is happening even though there is more than enough food to feed everyone, but poor children either cannot get to it, or cannot afford to buy it.
Your donation could help Save the Children to distribute seeds and tools and pesticides to rural farmers in poorer countries, or help people living in poverty in the UK get access to good quality fruit and vegetables.
If anyone is unlikely to see a collector next week, they can send donations, payable to Save The Children, to me.
