YOUR report (LET, April 23) that our former MP Doug Hoyle had been made a peer in the House of Lords surprised me. I always had the impression he was against this sort of thing.
And, in my opinion, being in the House of Lords is 'nowt' to swank about - watching this lot on TV, most look like doddering old age pensioners, well past their sell-by date and with a slight touch of Alzheimer's.
