REGARDING the withdrawal of funding for breast care nurses Wendy Birtwistle and Hazel James (LET, April 3), I want to inform the East Lancashire Health Authority that consultant surgeon Mr John Tresadern, together with the breast care nurses, are an excellent caring team.
If you only knew what it felt like to be told you have breast cancer.
Who do you ask all the questions that are going through your mind?
The answer at the moment is Hazel, Wendy or Margaret Robinson.
I was helped so much by these three ladies all the way through my treatment that I can never thank them enough, and the same applies to Mr Tresadern.
So please tell the health authority to think again before doing anything.
You never know, it might be a member of your own family requiring their help.
