THE White Lion pub in Market Street, Leigh, will be at the centre of a series of fund raising events in May to help those suffering from the potentially fatal disease cystic fibrosis.
In the hope that as much cash as possible can be raised the event, from Tuesday, May 13, to Sunday, May 18, is to be called 'Jack's Rattle and Roll Week II'.
It follows on the heels of a similar event held last year following an appeal from John Sumner and Carol Wells, the parents of 19 months-old Jack Sumner, of Platt Street, who suffers from the disease.
There are also three other children in Leigh who suffer from cystic fibrosis and the money will go towards trying to find a cure.
Events planned are a quiz night, bad taste party, a beach party and several bands and artistes will be playing throughout the week, sponsored headshave and sponsored triathlon.
Carol said: "Your help in conquering cystic fibrosis would be very much appreciated."
