COMMITMENT and availability lies between success and failure at Cherry Tree this season according to skipper David Hayes.
The Preston Old Road outfit suffered a disappointing season last year due to an inconsistent line-up and Hayes is hoping for better things as they aim for Ribblesdale League glory.
Now in his third spell as skipper, Hayes reckons his side has the firepower to challenge for honours but only if all his players pull together.
He said: "We have the problem of having players away at university and those who work on shifts so we are just asking players to show a bit more commitment.
"We have been up there in the past and I'm hoping last year was just a blip."
Cherry Tree travel to Ribblesdale Wanderers on Saturday (April 26) looking for their first win of the season after being well beaten against Great Harwood last week.
Fixtures:
Saturday (April 26): Barnoldswick v Blackburn N, Clitheroe v Whalley, Gt Harwood v Earby, Oswaldtwistle Imm v Padiham, Read v Edenfield, Ribblesdale W v Cherry Tree, Settle v Baxenden.
