LEIGH ATHLETIC are three-time winners.
They clinched their third Premier Division crown in five seasons with a 3-1 win at Bolton Wyresdale.
With one game remaining they are a massive EIGHT points clear of their nearest rivals in the Lancashire Amateur League - that's 140 teams in eleven divisions.
Against Wyresdale they were shocked by going one down to a speculative shot, then failed to convert a series of gilt-edged chances. Then they clicked into gear with goals for Andy Pickles and a Neil Keegan double.
Good work from Johnny Knowles, despite one incredible miss, Danny Wilson and Gordon Walker.
With only two defeats since last August, Athletic are putting Leigh on the map!
