AN Eric Cantona lookalike and three men were spotted tampering with a car stolen from a supermarket car park on Cuerden Way, Bamber Bridge, near Preston on April 3. The car was later recovered.

A motorist in a maroon boiler suit stopped to ask a schoolgirl for directions - and then exposed himself to her.

The flasher was in his 40s, had thick, curly, ginger hair, black rimmed glasses and a local accent. He was driving a four-door Escort-type beige car.

The incident happened on Hill Road South, Penwortham on April 7.

ZA thief netted more than £800-worth of fishing gear from a house on Hoghton Lane, Higher Walton, near Preston on April 7.

The culprit was in his early 20s, had a long thin face and short mousy hair, and wore a grey/blue tracksuit top and blue trousers.

ZA conman persuaded an elderly resident on Duke Street, Preston, to make him a cuppa while he searched through drawers to steal cash and pension books on April 6. The thief was 5ft 10ins tall, slim, with short dark hair and a local accent.

ZAnother conman tricked his way into an elderly person's home on Carr Street, Preston saying he was from the council on April 12.

He searched cupboards but left with nothing. He was 5ft 10ins, pale with freckles, had dirty short light brown hair and a Geordie or Irish accent.

ZA night-worker was pushed to the floor and punched by attackers who stole his Mercury pager, serial number 841952, on Moor Lane, Preston on April 5.
