JUDO ace Kevin Kinney is fighting towards a place on the British Olympic squad.
He won all his five contests to take gold in the U71kg class at the British Judo Association Eastern Area Open Championships in Norwich.
Gold added to the bronze that 4th Dan Kevin, the Tyldesley Judo Club coach, won at the Northern Home Counties Championships.
Another Tyldesley member, 3rd Dan Kevin Lynch, took bronze at U86kg in Norwich.
He was also awarded the Sportsman of the Year title at the North West annual meeting for his dedication and contest achievements over the past year.
The Tyldesley club train on Mondays (juniors, 7-8pm, and seniors, 8-10pm) at the town's Voluntary Community Centre in Upper George Street.
