BRITISH U16s indoor champ Lee Smethills won all his four races as Astley & Tyldesley Cycle Speedway made an impressive start to the British Junior League.
Team mate Martin Phillips dropped just one point and there were wins for Damien Hack, Daniel Mills and Dale Edwards.
Scorers: Smethills 16, Phillips 15, Hack 12, Edwards 11, Mills 10, Daniel Ward 9, Ben Wells 8, Carl Howarth 7.
Final score: Hethersett (Norfolk) 111, Wednesfield (West Midlands) 110, A & T 88, Exeter 38.
Smethills was also unbeaten in a Manchester Junior League match at Tameside, Ward, Phillips and James Mann dropping one point each.
Scorers: Smethills 16, Mann 15, Ward 15, Phillips 15, Wells 13.
Final score: Tameside 105, A & T 74, Bury 29, Sheffield 12.
In the opening match of the new Astley & Tyldesley League Gin Pit won by one point with Smethills, Edwards and Mike Hack all unbeaten.
