A DIRECTOR of a shutdown Bury company has been disqualified from holding any such appointment for ten years.
Robert Carey was also a director of similar businesses in Old Trafford and Barking in Essex. The disqualification was issued at Manchester District Registry of the High Court this week.
The order prevents Mr Carey, now resident in Italy, from being a director of a company or being concerned in the promotion, formation or management of a company.
The order relates to Mr Carey's conduct as a director of Trafford Brick Plc; Trafford Brick Specialists (North East) Ltd; and Trafford Brick Specialists (South East).
The North East company traded for almost six years from premises at Builders Yard, Cork Street, Bury.
The companies were placed into administrative receivership in July 1994 with a joint estimated deficiency to creditors of £1.285 million.
Several matters of unfit conduct were found by the court against Mr Carey, formerly of Hale, Cheshire, and Dartford, Kent.
