DUCATI'S Carl Fogarty and Neil Hodgson are taking the twin-track approach to the third round of the World Superbike Championship at Donington Park on Sunday.
Former world champion Fogarty, from Blackburn, believes that two good races could propel him into the championship lead, currently held by Castrol Honda's John Kocinski.
And a good outing for Hodgson could launch his assault on a place in the top five by the end of the season - at the moment he lies 10th overall alongside Troy Bayliss on 22 points.
"The thing I don't want to happen is Kocinski establishing a good lead in the table early on," said Fogarty.
"Right now he's in my sights and I don't intend to let up until he's in my rear view mirrors."
Hodgson said: "I enjoyed the last round at Misano in Italy, finishing seventh and fourth, and I'm hoping to build on that over the next few days."
World Superbike Championship points after two of 12 rounds: 1 John Kocinski, USA (Castrol Honda) 79, 2 Carl Fogarty, GB (Ducati) 65, 3 Aaron Slight, New Zealand (Castrol Honda) 58, 4 Simon Crafar, New Zealand (Kawasaki) 52, 5 Colin Edwards, USA (Yamaha) 38, 6 Scott Russell, USA (Yamaha) 29, Others: Neil Hodgson (Ducati) 22.
