AN INITIATIVE to promote more interest in sports clubs among teenagers is set to start in Pendle tomorrow.
Its aim is to attract more high school sporting stars to become members of local clubs.
A wide range of sports will be on offer at Pendle Leisure Centre, Colne, and youngsters taking part will be advised on how to take their interest further with local groups.
The joint initiative between Lancashire County Council and the Sports Council will be followed by visits by coaches to high schools.
The scheme is open to young people of high school age.
Next Thursday an athletics event will be held at Seedhill track, Nelson.
