LANCASHIRE firms are being urged to prove they 'mind their language'.
The DTI's Languages for Export Awards aim to highlight achievement of businesses and organisations in export markets.
Entries are invited from companies which have developed language training, translation or interpretation services to help their efforts in selling overseas.
"The awards aren't necessarily seeking those who are fluent in six or seven languages," said Mike Collins, regional co-ordinator of the awards.
"They recognise achievement by companies that have considered their language and cultural needs as part of their overall strategy and taken action to meet them."
Entry forms are available by contacting 01606 737009.
