THE National Lottery Charities Board is looking for four new members to serve on its regional advisory panels. These consist of 12 people plus a Chair, of which one third will change each year.

The Board's regional offices process applications from charities and voluntary organisations throughout England. To ensure that the region's particular needs are recognised, applications are considered by members to the regional advisory panel before being approved by the England committee.

The Charities Board is seeking individuals from the voluntary, private or public sectors with a reasonable knowledge and experience of their region to serve on the panel. The task involves attending monthly meetings and reading policy papers, application forms and assessment reports. As well as travel expenses, financial loss can be claimed for time spent on advisory panel business.

If any readers feel they have the relevant experience, they should write, including a short curriculum vitae, to: Andrew Freeney, National Lottery Charities Board, North West Regional Office, Dallam Court, Dallam Lane, Warrington WA2 7LU., by Wednesday, may 13.

Suitable candidates may be asked to attend an interview.

STELLA CLARKE, England Committee Chair.
