MANAGER Peter Maccabe is helping keep his firm one step ahead thanks to a government initiative.
Peter works as materials manager for carpet tufting machinery manufacturer Cobble in Blackburn.
Although he is already qualified with a BSc in electrical engineering and several industry-related qualifications, he decided to take an MBA course at Blackburn College.
"However because my qualification was of a high level, my employer was unable to provide funding, so I took out a career development loan."
The loan can be up to 80 per cent of the cost of course fees including materials and for a limited period ELTEC is offering grants of up to 25 per cent of the approved loan.
