THE bodies of a 61-year-old man and his 32-year-old girlfriend have been found at a house in Grimsargh, near Longridge.
The alarm was raised after the body of hairdresser Diane Hamer was found inside the property off Longridge Road, at 10.21am yesterday. Her boyfriend Arthur Compsty was found later in the garden shed.
Mr Compsty, who worked for the Royal British Legion in Preston, died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Police said Miss Hamer, who worked at a hairdresser's in Preston town centre, died from severe stab wounds.
Detective Inspector Peter Mason, of Preston police, said it was a "tragic case" and said no-one else was being sought in connection with the incident.
