BOOKIE's assistant John Thompson scored a £25,000 soccer stunner against a rival company when he predicted who would win the four Football League divisions - Leeds, Ipswich, Brentford and Burnley.
Blackburn health chiefs considered turning their authority into a trust, a year after deciding against the idea. Chairman Ian Woolley had said patients' needs would be best met by remaining in local control.
