BED bosses have taken delivery of a fleet of new trucks in the hope of giving local residents a quiet night!
The seven new £70,000 Scania trucks picked by Barnoldswick manufacturer Silentnight are claimed to be the quietest trucks on the road and have lower emissions than previous models.
"These trucks have been specially chosen for their performance, reliability and environmentally friendliness," said Silentnight's logistics manager, Stephen Broomhead.
"They are said to be the quietest on the market so that should help our relationships with local people here in Barnoldswick.
"Our fleet has a vital task delivering beds from Cornwall to Scotland but we try and keep any environmental problems to an absolute minimum."
