I AM a single parent family, with three children. I work full time but get Family Credit as I am on a low income.
I voted Labour at the General Election because I believed that Labour was for the working class.
However, now I regret even voting. I have just been informed that I have lost my entitlement to a school grant, which means that, somehow, I have to find £250-£300 to clothe my children to go to school.
I cannot afford that as I am already struggling to make ends meet.
I have to pay full rent at £50 per week plus £13 council tax, besides paying £31 per week for last year's council tax as I got into arrears.
I am seriously thinking of giving up my job and doing as everyone else does - scrounge on Social Security.
I know several people who claim benefits and work, but pay no rent and reduced council tax. And they are still going to get their school grant.
So can you tell me, please, where is the justice in this world?
